fantasy film "Delude" 3:00
I love fantasy films. Samuel Oh, a student at New York's School of Visual Arts, asked me to shoot a CGI effect movie, his senior thesis project.
Here it is.
He needed a beautiful blonde, and it so happened that one of my clients was married to model Karolyn Rabb-Falk, and she was happy to appear.
The stage at SVA had a 12-ft backing, and 3 or 4 fluorescent studio lights, but the setups were small enough to light convincingly.
Sam recorded his video straight to his hard drive, which helped him to pull very clean mattes.
(Blonde hair is very difficult to key.)
Then he took all the background shots with his digital still camera, and processed them in Photoshop.
And one of his friends at SVA created the original score!
The trick of good green screen work is getting the foreground lighting right.
